My sweet, beloved aunt passed away a few weeks ago. As I unpacked from our move, I found the program for her funeral service, and inside was this poem she had written in 2003. I typed it up in her memory, and I’m posting it for the world to see…because every single person has a story to share. And every single one is worth sharing. ❤

Daily Haiku #58 (Happy Father’s Day!)

*Bragging Rights Alert* My dad is kind of awesome. Raced motorcycles (and won) in his early years. He’s currently Acura’s Top Automotive Technician in the nation. (Seriously. He’s so smart. He can find his way around anything with an engine.) Taught me that it’s okay to be a tomboy, to love the freedom in motorcycles, to respect my car, the value in good work ethic, how to always keep my good humour about me, to always have fun, and to be quick to listen and slow to speak, not the other way around. Dad, you’re inspiring. So proud of you.…
